Since retiring and moving into his broadcasting role at FOX, Tom Brady has been more vocal as he even participates in high-profile comedic roasts. However, his most recent comment aimed at Dallas Cowboys supporters has not bode well with many, with some thinking it may not sit well with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

In a recent segment of “The Arena”, NFL Analyst and FOX Sports host Skip Bayless speculated that Brady’s remarks could create tension behind the scenes at FOX.

“Tom Brady is so brazen as the $300 million lead analyst for Fox Sports,” Bayless said. “You have to understand the most valuable property for Fox Sports. I worked there for eight years, so I know it from the inside out is the Dallas Cowboys. Fox has the NFC package.

“So obviously, they are going to televise a majority of the big Cowboy games on Fox. Just trust me on this, Jerry Jones did not love that. The big guns at Fox are going to get a call from Jerry Jones expressing his displeasure with a gratuitous shot at Cowboy fans in this roast.”

The Cowboys aren't just a football team to Jones, as they are a billion dollar brand that he has spent three decades cultivating. Meanwhile, the Cowboys fanbase is considered one of the most passionate and geographically dispersed in the NFL.

They often create home-game-like atmospheres even during road games. Because of that, Bayless thinks Jones could interpret Brady’s comments as more than just lighthearted humor, but as something closer to a critique of a deeply invested fan community.

Brady continues his second career in broadcasting under a reported 10-year, $375 million deal with FOX Sports. His presence undeniably boosts viewership and star power for the network. However, the behind-the-scenes dynamics between FOX executives, league stakeholders, and influential team owners like Jones remain unknown to the public.
