Eddie Hearn doesn’t believe the UFC is paying Tom Aspinall what he’s worth.

The boxing promoter recently announced that the heavyweight champion had signed with the Matchroom Talent Agency.

Hearn has now taken on an advisory role in Aspinall’s career, and he hasn’t wasted any time voicing his thoughts on how his new client is being treated by the UFC.

Eddie Hearn didn’t hold back when asked about UFC fighter pay, especially after reviewing Tom Aspinall’s contract.

The 46-year-old called it a ‘disgrace’ and questioned whether the financial return is even worth it for the current interim heavyweight champion.

“I represent the UFC world heavyweight champion,” Hearn said during a press scrum.

“I’m gonna bite my tongue a little bit for now, but what I will tell you is his contract is a f——g disgrace.”

“Honestly, if I’m Tom Aspinall, I’m looking at the contract and going ‘I don’t even think you should f——g bother, mate.’ But he wants to come back, rematch Gane, fight Pereira and defend his heavyweight title.”

Tom Aspinall back in the gym training after UFC 304

Aspinall posted an Instagram story on Thursday, showing himself back in the gym and sparring for the first time since he suffered two eye pokes during his split draw with Ciryl Gane at UFC 304. In his caption, he wrote: “First spar back since injury. Not sure what’s next yet. But feeling good.”

The video is expected to excite many fans who are looking forward to seeing him return after surgery on both eyes and a four-fight medical suspension by the British Boxing Board of Control.

Comments under the video included:

“Made my day this,” one fan said. Another added: “The GOAT is back.” A third person commented: “Wow, champ, this is the best news.” While a fourth replied: “Good to have you back, champ.” One more person wrote: “Time to show them!” And another simply said: “Let’s go Tom!”
