TICONDEROGA — Moriah's Joey Kazlo played well Monday afternoon; Ticonderoga's Jackson Dorsett was even better.

Dorsett tossed a no-hitter as he struck out 16 and walked three in the Sentinels' 2-0 CVAC win over the Vikings.

Losing pitcher Kazlo also went the distance. He allowed five hits, walked six and struck out eight.

“Jackson threw a no-hitter in a tough pitching duel with Joey Kazlo,” Ticonderoga coach Dan Dorsett said.

“Jackson struck out the side in the seventh and recorded at least two strikeouts in every inning pitched.”

Parker Davis led Ticonderoga offensively with two hits and a RBI, while Dorsett added a RBI single.

“Jackson Dorsett also had a long at bat in the bottom of the first inning, which ended in a RBI single up the middle to drive in Parker Davis, who had singled and stole second,” Dorsett said.

“Later in the game, Eli Dromgool led off with a single in the fifth and, after a sacrifice bunt, Parker Davis drove in the insurance run to help get the win.”
