As everybody in the state rested on pins and needles for most of the weekend, the Oklahoma City Thunder showed no signs of stress when they cruised to a 125-93 Game 7 win over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday.
The Round 2 playoff series clincher punched the Thunder's ticket to the 2025 Western Conference Finals. They will face the Minnesota Timberwolves. The latter have been off for a few days after they gentlemen swept the Golden State Warriors.
The NBA playoffs are down to four teams. The Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks are the Eastern Conference Finals matchup. The Thunder are the favorite to win the NBA championship as they were the sole 60-plus-win team to advance past Round 2.
The Thunder will host the Timberwolves for Game 1 on Tuesday. They will play every other day throughout the Western Conference Finals.
