Cooper Moore took the mound as LSU baseball faced Northeastern on Saturday afternoon. The transfer pitcher was awesome, throwing 7.2 innings of one-run baseball, allowing just three hits while striking out 10 and issuing one walk.

It was enough for LSU to get a 3-1 win.

Once again, LSU only managed five hits, but this time the hits were spread out among five different players. Jake Brown, Zach Yorke, Brayden Simpson, Trent Caraway, and Omar Serna Jr. all had a hit for the Tigers today. With the win, LSU improves to 10-1 this season. The Tigers will be back in action tomorrow as they take on Dartmouth at 12:30. Here are three takeaways from today's game.

Cooper Moore shoved

Cooper Moore has looked like the best starting pitcher for the Tigers this season. He is tied with Gavin Guidry with a 3-0 record. With the way he is pitching, you have to feel confident in your Saturdays moving forward.

Simpson was credited with the only official RBI on the day for the Tigers on this RBI single in the bottom of the second inning to put the Tigers up 2-0. Simpson now has a .400 batting average for this season.
