INDIANAPOLIS -- Pacers forwards Pascal Siakam and Obi Toppin have been ruled out for Wednesday's 7:30 p.m. game against the Trail Blazers -- the second game of a back-to-back -- at Gainbridge Fieldhouse and 10 players are listed as questionable.
Siakam, the Pacers' leading scorer with 24.0 points per game and a four-time All-Star, has missed the last five games with a right knee sprain. Toppin is ruled out with right foot injury management after missing four months with a stress fracture in the foot.
The 10 questionable players include seven players who are dealing with some form of injury and three who are questionable of the basis of their two-way contract status.
Guards Andrew Nembhard (right calf contusion), T.J. McConnell (right hamstring soreness), Quenton Jackson (right calf strain) and Ben Sheppard (left ankle sprain), forward Aaron Nesmith (right ankle injury management) and centers Ivica Zubac (low back soreness) and Micah Potter (right triceps strain) are the players dealing with injuries. Nesmith, Zubac, McConnell, Sheppard and Jackson participated in Tuesday night's loss to the Knicks, but Nembhard and Potter were held out. Nembhard -- the Pacers' second-leading scorer with 17.0 points per game and leader in assists with 7.3 per game -- has missed the last two games and three of the last five. Zubac missed his first month with the team with a left ankle sprain so the back issue is a new designation.
Guards Ethan Thompson and Taelon Peter and forward Jalen Slawson are the two-way contract players listed as questionable. As part of their two-way deals they are limited in terms of the number of games they can dress for NBA games. All-Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles tendon tear) and forward Johnny Furphy (ACL tear) are out for the season. That leaves guard Kam Jones, forwards Jarace Walker and Kobe Brown and center Jay Huff as the only four players on the team who are not listed on the injury report.
Portland guard Vit Krejci has been ruled out for a left calf contusion. Wing Shaedon Sharpe could miss the rest of the season with a stress reaction in his left fibula. All-NBA point guard Damian Lillard is out for the season with an Achilles tendon tear. Center Robert Williams III is questionable with left knee injury management.
