The NBA Draft Lottery set a record last weekend, with ABC drawing 2.3 million viewers. That led into the Knicks finishing a sweep of the 76ers in the Eastern Conference semifinals. ABC was up 23% from the lottery last year. USA Network averaged 529,000 viewers for its debut WNBA game on Sunday afternoon, featuring Aces-Sparks. The game on Mother’s Day was up 18% from the WNBA’s average on cable TV last season. Aces-Sparks also had the youngest median age of all national WNBA game broadcasts on opening weekend. Women were the slight majority of the telecast as well (51%).
