As Ryan Coleman-Williams prepares to start the 2026 Alabama football season as a married man, Nick Saban has chimed in with some advice.
Williams shared on the SEC Network broadcast during the 2026 SEC Football Kickoff that he got married to his now-wife, Alexis Hill, on June 19 following their engagement announcement in February.
Panel moderator Alyssa Lang heard the bells and was reminded of the time she was a newlywed and asked coach Mike Leach, a 2027 College Football Hall of Fame ballot nominee, if he had any marriage tips. Leach's advice — which was to elope — went viral and was hard to top, but Saban's will serve Coleman-Williams just as well.
"Talk to me," Coleman-Williams pleaded.

"After 54 years..." Saban started, "we have coffee cups. And mine says, Mr. Right."
Before graduating with his bachelor's degree in 1973, Saban also got married in college while attending Kent State University in Georgia. On Dec. 17, 1971, he wed a fellow West Virginian, Terry Constable, now known to the world as "Miss Terry."
"Hers says, 'Mrs. Never Wrong,'" Saban continued.
"Oh," a wide-eyed Coleman-Williams responded.
"So she's never wrong. That's all I'm telling you," Saban said.
The married life so far, though, has been '"awesome,' " Coleman-Williams says.
"This summer I've just been able to focus on my ball because, you know, I got my girl in my corner," Coleman-Williams said.
