With the 2026 NFL Draft now complete and six Texas Longhorns players selected, the free agent frenzy begins as teams target priority signings and work to fill out their rookie minicamp invite lists.
Cornerback Jaylon Guilbeau, who was invited to the NFL Combine, and defensive end Ethan Burke, a surprising snub from the Indianapolis invite list, are expected to be the top targets among the former Longhorns.
Here’s who else could sign, followed by an updated list of the signings as they happen:
- Interior offensive lineman Cole Hutson
- Defensive tackle Travis Shaw
- K Mason Shipley
- DS Lance St. Louis
- P Jack Bouwmeester
Matthew Caldwell to the Los Angeles Rams
After one season on the Forty Acres, well-traveled quarterback Matthew Caldwell will have a chance to land a spot on Sean McVay’s roster.

It won’t be easy, though, as the Rams roster features starter Matthew Stafford, 2026 first-round pick Ty Simpson, and Stetson Bennett, the gritty third-year passer from Georgia.

Jaylon Guilbeau to the Carolina Panthers
After a disappointing senior season that the Port Arthur product was unable to salvage at the NFL Combine, Guilbeau will compete to play for Dave Canales in Charlotte.

Travis Shaw to the Baltimore Ravens
The former consensus five-star prospect has battled knee issues throughout his career at North Carolina and Texas, but will have to a shot to make the same roster as Burke.
