On Tuesday, they added three of the thinnest positions left on the roster by agreeing to terms with veteran cornerback Amani Oruwariye and defensive tackle Carlos Watkins to one-year contracts and claiming linebacker Amari Burney off waivers from the Las Vegas Raiders.

The 29-year-old cornerback entered the league as a fifth-round pick by the Detroit Lions in the 2019 NFL draft out of Penn State. He spent his first four seasons in the Motor City before moving to the New York Giants in 2023. After a brief stop in Jacksonville, he latched on with the Dallas Cowboys in 2024, where he saw action in seven games with four starts, finishing with 29 total tackles and three passes defensed.

Over his career, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound cornerback has appeared in 61 games with 40 starts for Detroit, Jacksonville, and Dallas. In those contests, he recorded 195 tackles (159 solo), 27 passes defended and 10 interceptions. After spending the 2024 season with the Cowboys, Oruwariye does have some familiarity with new special teams coordinator John Fassel, which could give him an edge as he battles for a backup role in the secondary.

Watkins entered the league as a fourth-round pick by the Houston Texans in the 2017 NFL draft out of Clemson. He spent his first four seasons with the Texans before moving to the Dallas Cowboys in 2021. After two seasons with the Cowboys, he bounced around the league before eventually landing in Dallas in 2024.

The 6-foot-3, 306-pound defensive tackle has seen action in 86 games during his eight-year career, recording 151 total tackles (76 solo), six sacks, one forced fumble, and one interception with three different franchises.

Burney entered the NFL as a sixth-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft by the Raiders out of Florida. The 6-foot-2, 228-pound linebacker has spent his entire career in Las Vegas. He played in 24 games and made 32 tackles (20 solo), one sack, and one forced fumble.

To help make room for these three veteran additions, the Titans released defensive tackle Abdullah Anderson and UDFA cornerback Garnett Hollis Jr.
