A spring cleaning theme has developed this month with the Milwaukee Brewers.

For the third time in May, the Brewers have brought out the brooms and swept a series. After taking three games against the New York Yankees and Chicago Cubs earlier, the Brewers accomplished the feat in a most improbable way Wednesday, May 27 against the NL Central rival St. Louis Cardinals.

No-hit for seven innings by Cardinals starter Dustin May, the Brewers got all three of their hits in the eighth inning and scored the go-ahead run on an error by gold-glove shortstop Masyn Winn, completing a 2-1 comeback triumph. The Brewers have dropped only one series this month.

The three victories over the Cardinals also give the Brewers a very impressive 15-5 record over teams over .500 in May (3-0 vs. Yankees, Cubs; 4-1 vs Cardinals; 2-1 vs. Nationals, Padres; 1-2 vs. Dodgers), After a day off May 28, the Brewers finish the month with a three-game series at Houston (24-32).

In those 15 victories, Brewers pitchers have allowed only 23 runs (1.53 runs a game). In 11 of those 15 wins, the pitching staff allowed a miniscule two runs or fewer.

Here's a bit of social media reaction to the Brewers' latest series sweep:

The Brewers were being no hit through 7

Pitching staff kept the game within reach

And just like that the Brewers take the lead in the bottom of the 8th

THANKS MASYN WYNN

LETS GOOOOO

Brewers through 34 games… 18-16.
Brewers through 53 games… 33-20.

This team is legit.
Keep doubting them if you want.

it's incredible how the Brewers collective team speed just makes opposing defenders forget how to baseball https://t.co/S37ZndAfjf

That is a genuinely hilarious win

Even more funny, Ashby got the win, so he’s 9-0 now

Aaron Ashby has 9 wins this season, all in relief

That’s tied with 1938 Mace Brown for the most wins in relief in a team’s first 53 games since at least 1900 https://t.co/0nA57cwA0S

Went from being no hit to sweeping a series in 30 minutes.

Baseball is the best.
