The Suns travel to Denver to play the Nuggets at the Pepsi Center on Friday.

Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m. Arizona time and will be televised on FSAZ.

Early reports indicate Cam Johnson and Ty Jerome will miss the game.

Looks like Ty Jerome will be out for awhile... perhaps weeks.

Got word from @DanaScott who went to #Suns practice as I'm heading to Denver that Monty Williams said Cam Johnson (calf) could be out next few days before returning, but worked out with team in practice.

There's your TBD.

Ty Jerome (ankle) could be out "weeks" Williams said.

Cam Johnson will miss Friday's game as well.

Suns announce that Ty Jerome is out indefinitely due to a right ankle sprain he suffered in practice on Monday. He will be re-evaluated over the next 2-4 weeks. Injury report also has Cam Johnson out for Friday night in Denver.

After the road game against the Nuggets (Friday), the Suns play the Clippers (Saturday), Jazz (Monday) and at the Warriors (Wednesday).

Talk about a tough four game stretch.

Yeah, that is a tough stretch. And there's a back to back along with 4 games in 6 days. The good news is that our worst case scenario is starting out 1 - 4 instead of the 0 - 5 we were staring at before the Kings game.

It's going to tougher if Ayton is suspended.

Yeah. Oh well, maybe it will cause one or more of our upcoming opponents to fall asleep on us.

It's a real blow for the Suns. My guess is they will need to find additional center help. Diallo might be able to play there in addition to Baynes and Kaminsky.

With or without Ayton, we know we're not going to duplicate the first game
against the teams coming up.

As I posted in the Ayton thread, we had two other players with double-doubles
in Game 1 and one more a rebound away.

With role-playing Centers (and probably more dominant rebounders than Ayton),
I believe our development will be OK, even if they don't result in wins in the next
few games.

diallo is horrible. I would rather play saric at center than him.

Suns do not have a lot of options. They have a full 15 man roster. I guess they might look at adding another two-way player that might help at PF/C but chances are Diallo is better than anyone they can find.
The Suns have a lot of players they can rotate at the 4/5. I'm sure Monty will play the best players.

Baynes did foul a lot in the Kings game but he only averaged 2.5 fouls in 16 minutes last year. The year before he started 67 of 81 games and averaged 2.5 fouls then as well, averaging 18.3 minutes a game. He's a veteran so I trust he knows what he's doing and should be able to avoid picking up dumb fouls now that he'll be relied on for 25 or so minutes a night.

He'll probably be splitting time with Kaminsky going forward, with Diallo playing a couple of minutes until Cam comes back. When Cam returns then they should be able to push Diallo back to the bench by playing a little smaller with Baynes and Kaminsky at Center with Saric, Cam, and Oubre covering PF.

I will be happy to get Cam back as he adds another shooter not to mention being another player who can get some minutes.

Cameron Johnson (calf soreness) out as is Ty Jerome (ankle). #Suns Monty Williams said Johnson is day-to-day, but "close" to returning.

Baynes is the only change in the starting lineup for the Suns.

Easier said than done, but Baynes needs to stay out of foul trouble.

If the Suns were deeper into the season and Monty had a set rotation, substituting Diallo for Baynes would be the easiest option although perhaps not the best option.

It will be interesting to see how Monty handles it.

Tip off. And Oubre scores the first basket of the game.

Saric, Oubre and Baynes all have one personal foul... something to watch although not a problem at the moment.
