It was a great start to the second round of the playoffs for the Golden State Warriors as they were able to steal Game 1 on the road against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
While the Warriors were able to pick up a crucial victory in Game 1 in Minnesota, they also suffered a massive loss during the game.

That was the loss of their superstar point guard Stephen Curry, who exited the game early in the second quarter due to a left hamstring injury.
Golden State ruled Curry out for the remainder of the game and they announced on Wednesday after his MRI that he had suffered a Grade 1 left hamstring strain that will keep him out at least one week.
This is a massive blow to the Warriors and their chances of advancing to the Western Conference Finals as Curry may not return until Game 6 at the earliest.
Ahead of Game 2 on Thursday night, Curry met with reporters where he made a major statement regarding his injury timeline.
“No. And from all that I’m learning about how quickly you can get back, there has to be a healing process. You can’t accelerate,” Curry said about having a target return date for his hamstring injury.
With these comments, it is clear that neither Curry nor the Warriors want to rush back the future Hall of Famer too early in the series to avoid a more serious injury, especially with this being the first hamstring injury of his career.
Because of this, Golden State will need other players to step up in his absence like Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green and Buddy Hield were able to do in Game 1 on Tuesday.

The Warriors will need those three players along with the rest of their core to continue to step up with Curry sidelined as the star point guard is set to miss an extended period of time due to his hamstring injury.
