Upgrading the safety position in the 2026 NFL Draft has been a projected move for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and there are a few Day 2-3 prospects who could do just that.

Genesis Smith of Arizona State, a standout defensive back who has found success lining up out deep, in the box, and in the slot, would be a solid Round 3-4 addition for Pittsburgh.
