Michigan State football has extended an offer to a three-star running back from the Cornhuskers' backyard.
Nelsyn Wheeler of Omaha, Neb. announced earlier this week that he's received an offer from the Spartans. Wheeler announced the offer via a post on his social media X account.
Wheeler is listed as a three-star prospect on Rivals. He holds a rating of 5.6 on Rivals, and is ranked as the No. 6 player from Nebraska in the 2026 class. Wheeler is currently unranked on 247Sports.
Michigan State is one of nearly 20 schools to extend an offer to Wheeler, according to 247Sports. He also holds offers from Cincinnati, Wisconsin, Kansas, Fresno State, Maryland, Northwestern, Northern Illinois, Oregon State, Washington State, Wyoming, Air Force, Eastern Michigan, Miami (OH), South Dakota and Sacramento State.
Following the offer from the Spartans, Wheeler told 247Sports he plans to take an official visit to Michigan State. So it's clear there is mutual interest between both Michigan State and Wheeler.
