Former Switzerland goalkeeper Yann Sommer is continuing his career with Belgian title winners Club Brugge, the Champions League participants said on Tuesday.
The 37-year-old has signed a contract until June 30, 2029, the club added in a statement. He replaces Simon Mignolet, 38, who has retired.
Sommer is joining on a free transfer from Inter Milan, where he played for three seasons.
With Inter, the former Borussia Mönchengladbach and Bayern Munich keeper won the Italian league title twice. In 2025, he lost the Champions League final with Inter against Paris Saint-Germain.
He was not at the World Cup having previously retired from international duty.
