Apr. 26—Kyler Latrielle hit a 2-run homer as part of a six-run third inning to lead the Big Sky Eagles to a 13-3 win over the Flathead Bravettes in a Western AA matchup on Friday.
Big Sky (11-2, 7-2 in Western AA games) hit three home runs, with Sara Bjornson adding a 2-run homer in the fifth inning and Sadie McGuinn adding a solo shot. McGuinn later added a double as the Eagles collected 14 hits.
Latrielle finished with three runs out of the leadoff spot and sister Logan Latrielle went 2-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs.
Mackenzie Brandt picked up a pair of hits for Flathead (2-11, 1-6 in league); three different Eagles pitchers combined to hold the Bravettes to just four hits.
Lily Anderson drove in two runs for the Bravettes, who drew six with two of those coming around to score in the fifth. A double play ended the inning and game thanks to the mercy rule.
Macey McIlhargey started the game for Flathead, lasting three innings. Lacie Franklin pitched the final two frames.
