The Oklahoma Sooners had a phenomenal weekend at home against the Texas Longhorns. On Sunday afternoon, the Sooners completed the three-game sweep against their Red River Rivals. The No. 3 Oklahoma Sooners made a strong case to move back into the No. 1 spot after the weekend and are in the driver's seat for the SEC regular season title with just one conference series remaining.
The Sooners are now 42-5 on the season and 16-5 in SEC play. They've won six in a row since their series loss to Alabama and are averaging seven runs per game since being held to one run a piece in their losses to the Crimson Tide.
Sam Landry, Kierston Deal, and Isabella Smith set the tone from the circle and the Oklahoma Sooners received contributions from a number of players in their lineup.
Ella Parker hit two home runs over the weekend, including a two-run shot in the first inning on Sunday. In her 102nd career start for the Sooners, Parker passed the century mark in hits, RBIs, and runs scored. Coming into the weekend, Parker had just one home run against SEC competition. Safe to say she likes playing the Longhorns.
The three-game sweep, along with Texas A&M's series loss to Arkansas gave the Sooners a two-game lead in the win column over the Aggies with three games to go. Can they finish strong next weekend against the Florida Gators? Before we get to the regular season finale in Gainesville, let's take a look at how social media reacted to the series sweep.

The Haters Were Wrong
“The dynasty is over!”
“This is the beginning of the end for Oklahoma.”
“The downfall of Oklahoma begins!”
OU joined the toughest conference with a brand new and very young team this year, and this week we go to Florida to play for the SEC title. How? Talent, culture and… pic.twitter.com/0HswQ3q0n0
