Los Angeles Dodgers starter Tarik Skubal will make his first start at Dodger Stadium as a Dodger against the Kansas City Royals on Monday.
Skubal made his first appearance as a Dodger on Aug. 4, throwing six innings against the Cubs with six strikeouts and two earned runs. The Dodgers couldn’t get him any run support, though, as he received a loss for the outing.
The left-hander isn’t the only pitcher lacking support, though, as the Dodgers have lost eight of their last nine games and have struggled to put any runs on the board.
Skubal has already faced the Royals once this season, having played in the AL Central, and looked great against them in his start July 25. He threw 7.1 innings, striking out 12 batters and only allowing one earned run.
On the year, Skubal has a 2.81 ERA through 17 appearances, striking out 122 batters over the course of 102.2 innings pitched.

Who is in the Dodgers’ Lineup?
Shohei Ohtani leads off for the Dodgers as their designated hitter, and center fielder Andy Pages remains directly behind him in the No. 2 spot. First baseman Freddie Freeman is batting third, followed by left fielder Tommy Edman and shortstop Mookie Betts.
Miguel Rojas moves back into the lineup as the second baseman to bat sixth, and Teoscar Hernández switches positions to right field and the No. 7 spot. Third baseman Max Muncy bats as the No. 8 hitter, and Hunter Feduccia returns to the No. 9 spot to replace Ben Rortvedt.

Who is Pitching for the Royals?
The Royals have a left-hander of their own on the mound, as Noah Cameron steps in for his 23rd appearance of the season. He has thrown 123.2 innings in his sophomore season, posting. 4.37 ERA with 116 strikeouts on the year.
The Dodgers saw Cameron last season, scoring five runs on him through four innings pitched.
They’ll hope to do the same Monday, as they’re looking to get back on track following a stretch of eight losses in nine games. First pitch comes at 7:10 p.m. PT.
