PHILADELPHIA -- As the Philadelphia 76ers prepare to take on the New York Knicks on Saturday afternoon to wrap up their 6-game homestand, the focus was on the status of Joel Embiid and Paul George who both popped up on the injury report ahead of the contest.
The Sixers listed both Embiid (right ankle injury management) and George (left knee injury management) as probable for the contest. Before coach Nick Nurse spoke for his pregame media availability, a team spokesperson maintained as such.
As the Sixers prepare for the Knicks, they announced that both Embiid and George are in the starting lineup alongside Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, and Kelly Oubre Jr.
The Sixers and the Knicks will tip off at 3 p.m. EST from the Xfinity Mobile Arena. Philadelphia will be looking to earn a 3-3 homestand before heading out to Charlotte to take on the Hornets on Monday for a 1-game trip.
