The GHSA soccer playoffs kick of on Tuesday, April 22, and the first round continues through Friday as teams from the Greater Savannah area are prepared to make some noise in the postseason.
The Richmond Hill boys and girls enter the Class 6A playoffs as No. 1 seeds after winning Region 1-6A titles.
The Savannah Country Day boys and girls teams are also both hosting first round games in the Class A-3A Private playoffs.
The Islands boys are set to host in the first round of the Class 3A playoffs as the Sharks (12-7) are No. 4 in the GHSA Power Rankings for their enrollment classification. Jenkins (14-1), whose only loss came at Islands, is also set to host on Friday.
Benedictine has been playing some top notch soccer and the Cadets are also set to host an opening round match in the Class 4A playoffs on Wednesday.
The Savannah Arts girls are 14-2 on the season with their only losses coming against Richmond Hill and St. Vincent's. The Panthers are at No. 3 in the Class 2A Power Rankings and will host a first-round game Thursday at Daffin Park.
