The Seattle Seahawks selected 11 new rookies during the 2025 NFL draft class. Unfortunately, there is only so much room on an NFL roster, even during the offseason. Late on Tuesday morning, the Seattle Seahawks announced a handful of roster moves where they waived four players. Those players are quarterback Jaren Hall, center Mike Novitsky, and linebackers Kenneth Odumegwu and Michael Dowell.
All of these players have spent time on Seattle's practice squad. The only one of this group that managed to find his way to the active roster was Jaren Hall late in the season following Geno Smith's knee getting banged up against the Green Bay Packers. He did not see any action, and was made inactive, but he was listed as an emergency third-string quarterback to provide insurance to the position. However, with the Seahawks drafting Jalen Milroe in the third round, the quarterback room in Seattle has become rather crowded. The team already traded Sam Howell to the Vikings, and now Hall is the latest to be waived.
Given the familiarity with the Seahawks, I would not be surprised if any (if not all) find their way back to Seattle's practice squad at some point this year.
