It’s hard to find a team whose first- and second- round picks have been better for their roster in the last five years than the Seattle Seahawks. Since 2022, they’ve acquired Charles Cross, Devon Witherspoon, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Byron Murphy II, Grey Zabel, and Jadarian Price in the first round, and Boye Mafe, Kenneth Walker III, Derick Hall, Zach Charbonnet, Nick Emmanwori, Elijah Arroyo and Bud Clark in the second. All six first rounders are expected to start and star in 2026, and all seven second rounders will also have vital roles or just received a massive payday in free agency after helping the team to a Super Bowl.

If you had to rank the eleven players not including this year’s based on how well they’ve already turned out, you’d probably be putting Arroyo last. He only played in 13 games and had 15 receptions as a rookie. Every other player has had full seasons worth of production and played a bigger role in the Super Bowl run. However, within Arroyo’s injury-riddled first year, there are great signs for the future.

The physical talent will never be the question. He stood over 6’5” and at 250 pounds with an 80th percentile bench coming out of college, but profiles as a receiving tight end because his best ability is how he moves at such a size. He also has huge 10 inch hands and a massive 33 inch arm length. There were certain games where the Seahawks sent Arroyo down the field just to open routes up underneath and in the middle of the field, because his freakish athleticism demands the defense’s respect immediately. He still has a long way to go to be an every-down player, but injuries kept him from playing more than 36 games there, either. He’s still only 23 and nowhere near fully developed.

Arroyo was one of the only players mentioned individually as having a great practice yesterday on the 1st day of OTAs. Keep your eye on his progress during camp and preseason, because he could become one of the most exciting breakouts in 2026.
