Seattle Seahawks special teams coordinator Jay Harbaugh lauded rookie wide receiver Emmanuel Henderson Jr. following the team’s ninth training camp practice of the summer.
According to ESPN’s Brady Henderson, Harbaugh raved about the physical talents that Henderson has put on display in practices up until this point of the summer.
“He’s shown a lot of great stuff,” Harbaugh said. “He’s learning. Getting better. You see the movement skills. The speed. The twitch and acceleration and all that stuff. So, he’s been really fun to work with.”
The Seahawks selected Henderson with the No. 199 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. He excelled as a kick returner, having registered 455 kick return yards at Kansas in 2025. Henderson led the Big 12 in kick return touchdowns last season with one.
Henderson will play alongside Rashid Shaheed and Tory Horton in the punt return game for the Seahawks next season.
