The Seattle Seahawks will face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX. The Seahawks advanced to the Lombardi-deciding game by defeating their bitter rival Los Angeles Rams 31-27 in the NFC Championship Game. Head coach Mike Macdonald will look to make history.

Macdonald would become the third-youngest head coach to win a Super Bowl at 38 years old, according to ESPN Research. Rams coach Sean McVay (2021) and Steelers coach Mike Tomlin (2008) were both 36 years old when they won their respective Super Bowls.

Macdonald and Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel are both attempting to win their first Super Bowl's as head coaches. The 50-year-old Vrabel won three Super Bowls with the Patriots as a linebacker. McVay was 36 when the Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 in Super Bowl LVI. Tomlin was also 36 when the Steelers defeated the Arizona Cardinals 27-23 in the infamous Super Bowl XLIII.

Macdonald is in his second season as Seahawks head coach. General manager John Schneider is also attempting to make history by winning his second Super Bowl with the Seahawks while building an entirely new roster and hiring a new head coach. Schneider and Macdonald are attempting to make Super Bowl LX history together.
