Houssem Aouar delivers an unfiltered assessment of his first season in Saudi Arabia—a campaign he himself calls "exceptional" after a challenging year at AS Roma. Speaking as a guest on YouTuber Zaki Nani’s channel, the Algerian midfielder explained how his move to Al-Ittihad marked a positive turning point in his career, both personally and professionally.

"I immediately felt comfortable when I arrived. The coach was Laurent Blanc... the relationship we had was exceptional," he revealed.

The Algerian international also shared how the presence of a predominantly French-speaking staff and the warm welcome from the locals made his adaptation smooth:

"It was really easy, even the players spoke French."

Pleased with the team's achievements, Aouar makes no secret of his pride:

"We couldn’t have done better than last season. We did the double, we won everything."
