The Saints have added firepower in free agency and in the draft, but there are still some loose ends for the roster. Saints veteran Cam Jordan is unsigned, as is Taysom Hill, and there is the little Alvin Kamara situation after the signing of Travis Etienne.

Loomis started with Kamara, who is due guaranteed money on June 1st, which puts the situation on a time limit.

“We’re just trying to see how he’s gonna fit on our roster,” Loomis said, via Luke Johnson of the New Orleans Times-Picayune. “Obviously, there’s a resource management element. We’ll get to that over the next week or two.”

Kamara has stated he is excited to get to work with Etienne, but this may be a situation that is about the numbers and not the person or fit.

Loomis touched on an impending extenstion for WR Chris Olave also on Monday.

“Obviously, we’d love to have something done sooner than later, and I’m sure Chris would as well, but we’re not there yet,” Loomis said Monday, via Katherine Terrell of ESPN.

Jordan has a contract on the table, but the veteran EDGE rusher doesn't seem to be in a rush to sign it. Perhaps he's chasing a bigger number or just keeping his options open without having to report to training camp.

A reunion makes sense. It would be great for Jordan to finish his career in New Orleans. It's a rare sight.

Hill, on the other hand, doesn't have a contract on the table and it appears he's played his final down for New Orleans. The team handled his final game appropriately and gave him a proper farewell, if that is the result.

Loomis still has some loose ends to tie up, but for the most part, the draft and free agency was a complete success for a team looking to make a playoff run in 2026.
