Ryan Gandra met the media Saturday after his win over Jose Medina at UFC Fight Night 268.

Gandra (9-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) had a sensational promotional debut and needed just 41 seconds to take out Medina (11-7 MMA, 0-4 UFC) with a TKO to close out the prelims at Arena CDMX in Mexico City.

The 30-year-old Brazilian came to the UFC through a first-round knockout on DWCS this past August, and now he has declared himself a new problem for the middleweight division and has his sights set on eventual title contention.

"We put in a lot of work to be prepared, not just for this fight, but for any challenge that comes in front of us," Gandra told UFC.com after his win. "We're ready for any challenge, and that's what we work for. We work to be the champion of this division.

"I want to feel a little more of the organization, try to test myself. I want a fighter that's good and I can test my skills. Whoever the UFC gives us, I just hope it's a fight that I can sharpen my skills. But don't worry about it: We'll be ready to solve any problems in front of us."
