Ryan Clark's reaction to the Pittsburgh Steelers' passing up on Colorado Buffaloes quarterback prospect Shedeur Sanders has gone viral. The retired safety didn't hide his support for Sanders ahead of the draft, but was disappointed after his former team decided to go in a different direction.
The Tennessee Titans picked Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick and the Cleveland Browns traded down with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who picked Travis Hunter at No. 2, the New York Giants selected Abdul Carter, ending Sanders' chance to be selected in the top five (Patriots at No. 4 and Browns at No. 5 had different preferences and needs).

The New Orleans Saints at No. 9 were another team in need of a quarterback, but they picked offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. instead. The Dolphins went with defensive tackle Kenneth Grant at No. 13, leaving the Steelers (No. 21) as the next team with possibilities of drafting Sanders.
Surrounded by Channing Crowder and Fred Taylor, Clark waited for the Steelers' pick. He was visibly upset upon learning that the team snubbed Sanders and selected defensive tackle Derrick Harmon from Oregon.
What followed was Clark questioning his old team for seemingly moving forward with Mason Rudolph as the starting quarterback while waiting for Aaron Rodgers to make a decision.
"Mason Rudolph?" Clark asked Crowder. "He was at Tennessee and got worse. You know what we gonna do? 'Oh, let's wait for Aaron. Wait forever to make your decision. We let Aaron Rodgers hold us hostages like we were four."
After losing both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields in free agency, the Pittsburgh Steelers need a new starting quarterback. This decision confirmed that they're still waiting for Rodgers, who remains noncommittal.
Coming off an 11-6 season, Pittsburgh saw the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals bolster their ranks in the offseason. The Browns could still draft Sanders, which would make things interesting in the AFC North.
