Thousands of runners are coming together to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on Saturday.

New York Road Runners is teaming up with the 9/11 Memorial & Museum for a 4M race to mark the solemn anniversary in Central Park.

The race is expected to bring together 5,000 people who will remember the nearly 3,000 people killed.

The race will also honor the service of all who stepped in to help New York City recover and rebuild.

All funds raised from the race will support the 9/11 Memorial and Museum's educational programs and keep the memorial free for visitors.

Nina Pineda spoke with runners in the park.
