According to Liverpool-based journalist DaveOCKOP, Liverpool FC hosted the agents of Wolves youngster Mateus Mane recently.
Nothing seems concrete yet, and the agents appear to be speaking to a number of clubs ahead of a potential summer move.

Mane looked lively when Liverpool and Wolves played recently, and he’s been one of the very few bright spots of a dire season for Wolverhampton. The namesake of Sadio, is also an England U18 international. This makes sense given how low the number of Reds homegrown players have fallen over the last couple of seasons. Mane has primarily featured in a central attacking midfielder role, although he has also played centre-forward at times.
It’s easy to see why Liverpool would be interested. Wolves are almost certainly going together relegated, and snapping up a young English talent on the cheap is the kind of deal Liverpool are always looking to make. His energy and athleticism would also restore much of the intensity and ability to press from the front that Liverpool have lacked this season.
