Apparently, Baltimore Ravens players are becoming regulars at Camden Yards. Just days after rookie safety Malaki Starks traded his football for a baseball and threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Baltimore Orioles’ series opener against the Detroit Tigers, another member of The Flock is set for the same honor.

This time, it’ll be one of Baltimore's most accomplished veterans. Left tackle Ronnie Stanley is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Orioles' upcoming series opener against the Toronto Blue Jays next Thursday.

As if that weren’t enough, Stanley will also take part in one of Camden Yards' more entertaining traditions as the game’s guest splasher in the Bird Bath Splash Zone. That’s not a bad way to spend an evening. Throwing out a ceremonial first pitch remains one of baseball’s more recognizable honors. It connects participants to a tradition rooted in more than a century of American sports history. What once served largely as a ceremonial privilege for presidents and prominent public figures has evolved into a crossover spotlight moment reserved for athletes, celebrities, and notable guests.

Orioles announce Ravens safety Malaki Starks will throw out the first pitch at tonight's game. On Thursday, LT Ronnie Stanley has first-pitch duties plus he'll be guest splasher.

Stanley now joins a growing Ravens list that includes Jonathan Ogden, Ed Reed, Jesse Minter, and now Malaki Starks. The timing feels fitting. Stanley remains one of the foundational pieces of Baltimore’s roster and one of the franchise’s most respected veterans.

When healthy, he still anchors one of the NFL’s more important positions, protecting Lamar Jackson’s blind side while serving as a leader in the locker room. For Starks, the first-pitch moment felt like a welcome-to-Baltimore introduction. For Stanley, it feels more like recognition.

Either way, the Orioles and Ravens continue showing off the connection between Baltimore’s two most visible sports franchises. At this rate, Ravens fans may want to keep a planner to remind them who’s next in line for a trip to the mound so they won't have to spend their time wondering.
