WWE was defiant in its ongoing plans to complete the prolonged heroes journey of Roman Reigns as the embattled babyface defeated Bobby Lashley in Raw's main event. Reigns will now presumably head into the sold-out shark tank otherwise known as the Barclays Center, where paying customers are fully guaranteed to spend their hard-earned money to hijack the projected SummerSlam main event. Given the circumstances of this match—one that will be rejected by a surly New York crowd in a sports market starved for both attention and championships—WWE will need to pull out as many bells and whistles as possible to avoid a repeat of the stadium-wide paid protest that befell Reigns vs. Lesnar at WrestleMania 34.
