Roma resume talks for Celik’s renewal

The contract renewals Gasperini has sought are approaching. From Mancini and Cristante to Pellegrini and Celik.

Multi-year extensions for the players who are part of the so-called “sixth-place gang.”

The Giallorossi coach is personally committing himself, as he did with El Shaarawy and Dybala.

The coach described them all as players with high moral values, with whom he can build upon and add three or four signings like Malen or Wesley.

Mancini and Cristante will sign extensions until 2030 at the end of the season, while Pellegrini will likely extend his contract until 2029, with a significant salary reduction.

There are also updates on Celik’s contract renewals.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport reports, the Turkish full-back would like to stay in the capital, and negotiations have recently resumed for a salary adjustment that will certainly be lower than the €4 million requested in recent months.

As for El Shaarawy, the matter will be discussed at the end of the season. A positive atmosphere has developed around the player, however. Dybala will meet with his agents to discuss a possible extension at a much lower price than his current one.

The Roma of the future will also start from the same stalemate that has characterized recent seasons, with the difference that Gian Piero Gasperini will be on the bench.
