With Pat Spencer's contract being converted to a standard NBA deal, the Golden State Warriors have an open two-way slot on their roster. Before the 2026 edition of the NBA All-Star break comes to a close, the Warriors reportedly got to work filling their open two-way spot with the addition of a 6-foot-5 guard from the G League.
According to NBA Insider Jake Fischer of The Stein Line, the Warriors are signing Nate Williams from the G League Long Island Nets to a two-way contract.

Williams went undrafted after four seasons at Buffalo, earning All-MAC honors in 2021 and 2022. After going undrafted in the 2022 NBA draft, the former four-star recruit signed with the Salt Lake City Stars in the G League. In 2023, Williams made his NBA debut with the Portland Trail Blazers. Williams played five games with the Blazers, starting in four.
After being waived by the Blazers, Williams signed a two-way deal with the Houston Rockets in 2023. Williams played 42 games for the Rockets from 2023-2025. During his time in Houston, Williams averaged three points on 48.2% shooting in 6.6 minutes per contest.
In 2025, Williams signed withthe Los Angeles Lakers but was waived before the start of the regular season.
The 27-year-old wing most recently played 22 games for the Long Island Nets in the G League, averaging 17.9 points on 48.2% shooting from the field and 34.5% from beyond the arc to go along with 6.1 boards and 2.7 assists per contest.
