With free agency opening, teams are lining up meetings with players in an effort to find ways to improve their teams. The Philadelphia 76ers, along with the other 29 teams in the league, are in the process of finding ways to beef up their current roster to take down the defending champion New York Knicks.

As free agency opens, Kelly Oubre Jr., who has spent the previous three seasons in Philadelphia, is preparing to meet with multiple teams. Yahoo! Sports reports that the 11-year veteran out of Kansas is set to meet with the Sixers, Portland Trail Blazers, Indiana Pacers, and the Los Angeles Lakers. He averaged 14.1 points and 5.0 rebounds while shooting 36% from deep in the 2025-26 season.

Oubre is a versatile player who can help teams right away. If the Sixers can't find a deal to bring him back, he will be a helpful piece to any team he signs with in the 2026 offseason as he is a solid defender and somebody who can do a number of different things on the floor.
