Louisville Bats outfielder Rece Hinds, who has played parts of the last two seasons with the Cincinnati Reds, was named the International League Player of the Week.

Hinds is batting .382 with four homers and 14 RBI.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound 25-year-old outfielder from Niceville, Florida, is a career .257 hitter in the minor leagues but has displayed power.

In 2023 at AA Chattanooga, he hit .269 with 23 homers and 98 RBI, earning a promotion to AAA Louisville, where he had 14 homers and 47 RBI in 99 games, hitting .208. Last season with Louisville, he upped his average to .302 with 24 homers and 83 RBI in 107 games, dropping his strikeouts from 160 to 113.

During a 2024 stint with the Reds, Hinds had five home runs and 11 RBI with a .261 average in 24 games. In 15 games last season, he had a pair of homers and drove in three runs, but hit just .116.
