In a recent interview, Vinicius Jr made a heartfelt nod to Karim Benzema, his former Real Madrid teammate.
During a conversation with YouTuber Ibai Llanos, Vinicius Jr reflected on the players who have left the biggest impression on him at Real Madrid. Although he now shares strong bonds with several teammates, the Brazilian was keen to highlight the lasting influence of Karim Benzema on his development.
"He’s my favorite. We understood each other with just a look," the Madrid winger revealed about the French striker, with whom he played from 2018 to 2023. Their technical and instinctive connection, despite a few well-documented tensions at the time, remains one of the most memorable highlights of his career.
