Building a roster in today's NFL requires creativity just as much as it requires talent evaluation and financial resources. Teams constantly search for ways to upgrade while staying mindful of the salary cap, and sometimes, for the Baltimore Ravens, that means keeping an eye on opportunities that may arise elsewhere around the league.

Jesse Minter's era as head coach begins, and the offensive line remains a position group worth monitoring. Baltimore has never been shy about revisiting familiar faces if the fit and the price make sense. Some of the organization's most practical roster moves have come through reunions with players who already understand the culture and expectations inside the building. That's part of the reason one potential development in Denver is worth noting. According to ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler, the Denver Broncos could consider moving offensive guard Ben Powers due to his sizable cap hit. Powers carries an $18.155 million cap number for the 2026 season. Denver has plenty of room, but if they want to make more, moving Powers makes it easy.

A post–June 1 trade would reportedly free up roughly $12.23 million for the Broncos. That doesn't necessarily mean a move is imminent, but it does place Powers among the veterans whose situations are worth monitoring as teams adjust their financial outlooks.

The Broncos have agreed to terms on a two-year contract with OL Alex Palczewski, per source.

Before a biceps tear temporarily interrupted his 2025 campaign, Powers had established himself as a reliable starter. He logged 17 starts in back-to-back seasons before the injury temporarily sidelined him. The issue paused his season, but didn't end it. He was injured in Week 5 but returned by Week 16, when he returned to action and finished the year on the field and active with his teammates.

Powers isn't viewed as a superstar along the interior offensive line, but he has proven to be a dependable and versatile option. He can play guard on either side of the line, something that carries value for teams seeking stability up front.

Baltimore knows that firsthand. Powers spent the first four seasons of his career with the Ravens after being drafted by the club in 2019. During his time there, he developed into a consistent contributor before eventually landing with Denver in free agency.

There would be obstacles to overcome if a reunion were ever to materialize. Powers turns 30 in October, and any acquiring team would have to feel comfortable with both his salary and his recent injury history.

Still, if Denver decides to create cap flexibility and move on, Baltimore could find itself in a familiar position, evaluating a player it already knows well. And if the Ravens determine the value aligns with the need, a reunion with Powers could quietly strengthen an offensive line that always benefits from experience and reliability in the trenches.
