Baltimore Ravens cornerback Nate Wiggins was carted off at practice on Tuesday. Reports were that it looked like he suffered a lower-body injury, either to his left leg or knee.
ESPN’s Jamison Hensley reported that Wiggins was unable to put any weight on his leg when he was going into the team facility and had to be assisted by trainers.
After the injury, head coach Jesse Minter said he didn’t have much more information to add. He did say that, “I think there’s optimism.”

After spending his collegiate career at Clemson, Wiggins was drafted with the 30th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
As a rookie, he played in 15 games, starting six. He finished with 33 total tackles, a 26-yard pick-six, and a forced fumble.
Last year, Wiggins started all 17 games for the Ravens. He tallied 76 total tackles with three interceptions.
Wiggins is one of Baltimore’s top cornerbacks. If he is sidelined for a significant period, the Ravens will need to add to their depth. Marlon Humphrey and Chidobe Awuzie would lead the position, with Amani Oruwariye, Chandler Rivers, and T.J. Tampa as largely unproven depth.
Baltimore could look to bring in a veteran free agent like Trevon Diggs, who recently visited the Detroit Lions, or Marshon Lattimore to bring some experience to the position, even if they aren’t the players they once were.
