The Los Angeles Rams started a new trend of not sending their top talent evaluators to the NFL Scouting Combine each year. Sean McVay last attended the combine in 2020, so it’s been awhile since he or Les Snead were in person in Indianapolis.
That won’t change this year, and another notable team is copying that plan. The podium schedules for coaches and GMs were released and neither McVay nor Snead are on the docket. The same goes for their former understudies, Liam Coen and James Gladstone, who are the head coach and GM of the Jaguars.
It appears they won’t be in attendance in Indy next week after being there last year, following the Rams’ lead of skipping the combine moving forward.
Here’s the full schedule of interviews as of now.
Two other former Rams assistant coaches, Matt LaFleur and Kevin O’Connell, are also absent from the press conference schedule, so it seems they’re not going to be in Indianapolis. Or at least, they won’t be speaking publicly if they do attend.
Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur will be attending the combine next week as he tries to kick off a new era in Arizona.
