Today marks the 21st anniversary of the premier everyone’s favorite Muppet film: The Muppet’s Wizard of Oz. That’s absolutely a date everyone knows and not a strained justification for talking about the Muppets on a random Wednesday in May.

That being said, the Muppets are canonically familiar with the game of baseball but have never had an extended chance to show off their skill in the nations pastime. That’s where the Colorado Rockies come in. Here’s the question:

If you were to make a Muppets movie about the 2026 Rockies, which player would you want to be the single human character?

There are a couple routes you can take this:

  • Michael Caine in The Muppet Christmas Carol: A straight laced contrast to the wackiness of the team around him.
  • Tim Curry in Muppet Treasure Island: Matching or exceeding the Muppets energy while in the form of a human for an extra layer of absurdity.

So, who from the Rockies would you most like to see surrounded by Muppets on the big screen?

Bonus points if you can also cast which Muppets would play the other players on the team.
