CHICAGO — Purdue football's depth was challenged during last year's 2-10 season.
Injuries piled up for a Boilermaker team already hamstrung by a lack of talent.
Fast forward 12 months and head coach Barry Odom, knock on wood, carries a nearly fully healthy team into next week's start of fall camp.
If practice began today, the lone player limited would be incoming freshman defensive end Max Carmicle.

The 6-foot-8, 255-pound Chicago native is one of six new edge rushers joining Purdue's defense either via the 2026 signing class or through the transfer portal.
"He had an injury and had a medical procedure I think in January," Odom said on Wednesday. "He’s gone through most of our summer workouts. In a full 11-on-11 situation in practice, he’s still a little bit limited.
"He will get fully cleared within the second week of fall camp so right now we’re in really, really good shape."
