Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua was accused by a woman of biting her and making an antisemitic comment while they were out on New Year's Eve, according to TMZ. The woman also filed a temporary restraining order, which was denied by a judge.
The case isn't over yet, as there's another hearing scheduled for April 14.
Nacua's attorney, Levi McCathern, issued a strong statement on Tuesday after the allegations were made, vehemently denying any wrongdoing by the Rams receiver. Additionally, McCathern says they will be filing a defamation lawsuit against the woman and "pursuing all available legal remedies in response to these false and damaging statements."
"Puka denies these allegations in the strongest possible terms," his attorney said in a statement to TMZ.
McCathern says a sober witness "stated unequivocally" that Nacua never made the antisemitic comment that the woman claims. Additionally, he says the filings against Nacua do not "involve any allegation of domestic violence."

Nacua, 24, is entering the final year of his rookie contract and is eligible for an extension for the first time this offseason. The Rams are expected to negotiate a new deal with him, though it could "take a while" for a contract to get done, per NFL Network.
