One of the Chicago Bears' top pass rushers, Dayo Odeyingbo, is headed back to one of the most prominent gatherings of NFL pass rushers to take place this week from July 9-11.
The "Sack Summit," which is hosted by NFL veterans Maxx Crosby, Von Miller, and Cam Jordan in Las Vegas, brings together some of the league's top pass rushers, including Chicago's Dayo Odeyingbo, who is looking to rebound after injuries derailed his first season with the Bears.
Odeyingbo signed a three-year, $48 million contract prior to the 2025 season, but he tore his Achilles last November, which sidelined him for the rest of the season. Odeyingbo getting healthy is the first order of business, secondly would be picking up whatever he can at the Sack Summit to help take his game to the next level coming off the injury.
Although they have Montez Sweat leading the way at pass rusher for the Bears defense, the unit needs more contributions across the board, so getting Odeyingbo back healthy for the 2026 season will be incredibly crucial to see how it can boost the pass rush as a whole.
Chicago had several opportunities this offseason to add more pass rushers either through free agency, trades, or the draft, but remained steady and didn't pursue a big splash, hopefully, for their trust in Odeyingbo's return.
