Like most other powerhouse programs, Gonzaga has been on a frenetic search to bring in top-line talent ahead of next season. The Bulldogs thought they'd have Jack Kayil check that box for them next year, but that won't be the case.

Kayil actually wasn't able to attend the NBA draft combine this week, but has received encouraging feedback about his draft status. This has led the 20-year-old to forgo his commitment to Gonzaga and pursue his NBA dreams.

Few had the option of deploying Kayil next to fellow international guard Mario Saint-Supery, but Gonzaga will have to look elsewhere now. He had a strong season with Alba Berlin this year, which paved the way for his stock to rise significantly.

Kayil averaged over 12 points and three assists per game for Alba Berlin this past season.
