Former Edwardsburg High School football standout Josh Priebe is headed to South Beach to begin his professional football career.

After the NFL draft concluded on Saturday, Priebe quickly found a home with the Miami Dolphins.

Barry Jackson on his Florida Sports Buzz twitter account had an update at 7:46 p.m. on Saturday that Priebe had signed as a priority free agent with the Dolphins.

Priebe told the Elkhart Truth in a story prior to the draft that he expected to go anywhere from the fifth round to being a priority free agent.

This past season, Priebe transferred from Northwestern University to Michigan. The 6-foot-5, 306-pound Priebe, who was a graduate student at Michigan, started 13 games at left guard and was a third-time all-conference selection in the Big 10 by the media and an honorable mention all-conference selection by the coaches.

As a senior at Northwestern, Priebe started 12 games at left guard and was a third team all-conference selection by the coaches and the media.

Priebe was a starter at right guard for the 2018 Edwardsburg High School Division 4 state championship football team.
