Slovenia's Domen Prevc tops the standings after the first two rounds of the men's individual large hill at the Ski Flying world championships on Oberstdorf, Germany on Friday.
With jumps of 204 metres and 224.5 metres, the ski jumping World Cup leader scored a total of 442.2 points ahead of the two final rounds on Saturday.
Japan's Ren Nikaido sits second, 14 points behind Prevc and with the longest jump of the day of 230.5 metres. Norway's Marius Lindvik is third.
Last edition's winner Stefan Kraft of Austria is only 10th and 46.9 points behind Prevc ahead of Saturday's event.
Cross country
Norway prevailed in the men's cross country team sprint at the World Cup in Goms, Switzerland, but they were beaten by Germany in the women's race.
Harald Østberg Amundsen and Einar Hedegart led Norway to the win in 17 minutes 43.75 seconds, 1.94 seconds ahead of Italy, while the United States were third.
Norway had to settle for second and third in the women's event as Germany were fastest with Laura Gimmler and Coletta Rydzek, clocking 20:33.34 minutes.
It was a statement win for Germany in the last World Cup stage before the Winter Olympics, where they will try claim gold just like compatriots Katharina Hennig and Victoria Carl did at Beijing 2022.
"To win is always great, and to do that with my friend and room-mate – we train together the whole year – is very special," Laura Gimmler.
The men's and women's individual sprint is scheduled for Saturday in Goms.
