For the first time in school history, the College of Charleston made it to the NCAA tournament. Days after being eliminated, the coach that got them there is reportedly leaving for a new opportunity.
Robin Harmony will reportedly leave Charleston in favor of the University of Pittsburgh, per On3.
Harmony, 64, joins Pittsburgh after spending the past seven seasons with Charleston. While her tenure with Charleston started slowly, as the team posted a sub-.500 record in three out of her first four seasons, Harmony got the team rolling the past three years.
Since the 2023-24 season, Harmony has a 74-24 record. That culminated in Charleston going 27-6 this season, leading to the school’s first-ever appearance in the NCAA tournament.
The College of Charleston received a No. 14 seed. They lost to No. 3 seed Duke in the first round 81-64.
