LAMAR, Mo. — Pierce City's girls track and field team showed strength in a variety of events Saturday, amassing 144 points en route to the Class 2 District 6 track and field title at Lamar.
Skyline was second with 92 points and Miller was third with 80.
Pierce City
Paige Fenske was a triple winner for Pierce City. She finished first in the pole vault with a personal best 2.98 meters and won both the long jump (5.14 meters) and the triple jump (10.61 meters).
Emma Hunt finished as district champ in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:34.66 and also won the 3,200-meter event (12:28.52).
Liliana Lasker won both the 200-meter dash (26.17 seconds) and the 400-meter race (59.04 seconds). Both races were personal bests for Lasker.
Addison Avondet won the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 49.39 seconds and was third in the 100-meter hurdles (17.12 seconds).
Elizabeth Sharp won the discus with a personal best 35-meter toss.
Fenske, Sophia Prater, Avondet and Lasker finished second in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:19.59. Sophia Cruz, Prater, Katy Leavitt and Hunt earned runner-up in the 4x800-meter relay (11:09.91).
Grace Broderick threw a personal best 32.16 meters and finished third in the javelin and logged another personal best in the long jump (4.74 meters) to finish third.
Sarcoxie
Sarcoxie’s Jordyn Misner (16.91 seconds) earned second in the 100-meter hurdles and also was runner-up in the triple jump (9.76 meters). Alexis Lett was runner-up in the high jump (1.57 meters).
Diamond
Aspen Daniel won the 100-meter hurdles with a personal best 16.81 seconds.
Madisyn Brooks, Bertha Hansen, Ava Jones and Daniel finished third in the 4x100-meter relay (54.79 seconds).
